Simple terms, so both sides know what to expect.
Booking
A date is booked once we've agreed on the time, place, duration and price, and you've confirmed it in writing, by email or on any social media platform.
Price and payment
The price follows the price list or the agreed quote. I send the invoice after the event, with 7 days to pay. VAT information is stated in the quote.
Cancelling or moving the date
Cancelling at least 14 days before the event is free. Cancelling 7-13 days before costs 30% of the price, and less than 7 days before 50%. Moving the date is free if the new date works for me.
Photo delivery
Edited photos are delivered to a private online gallery, usually within 24 hours. I send the gallery link by email. The gallery stays open, and I keep the photos, for 1 year after the event. After that they're deleted, so please download your photos in good time.
Usage rights
The client may use the photos anywhere, including online, on social media and in advertising. Please credit @garl.photography where possible. The photographer may use the photos in their portfolio and on social media unless agreed otherwise. When using photos of identifiable people in advertising, the client is responsible for any required consent.
If I can't make it
If illness or another unforeseen reason prevents me from attending, I'll let you know as soon as possible and try to find a replacement photographer. If that isn't possible, you don't pay anything.
